Oxford Town Hall
Oxford Town Hall, a historic and iconic venue located in the heart of Oxford, is a testament to the city's rich heritage and cultural significance. This grand Victorian building, designed by the renowned architect Henry T. Hare, was officially opened in 1897. Its imposing neo-baroque architecture, featuring intricate stonework and a striking clock tower, has made it a cherished landmark in Oxford. Over the years, Oxford Town Hall has served as a hub for various civic and cultural events. While the main entrance has eight steps, there is a step-free accessible entrance about 28 metres to the north (towards Carfax) with ramped access and automatic doors, plus an intercom to reach staff. Inside there is a lift, three wheelchair-accessible toilets fitted with emergency cords, and a wheelchair available to borrow on request at reception. Assistance and service dogs are welcome, and Blue Badge parking bays are available nearby on St Aldate's and surrounding streets.
